Insurer refusing to pay out on $10 million life insurance policy

“’Actor, Heath Ledger, was found dead Tuesday of a possible drug overdose in a Lower Manhattan apartment’, the New York Police Department said.”

That was the statement made by CNN New York on 22 January 2008.

The Academy Award nominated actor was 28 and found naked, face down on the floor at the foot of his bed by a housekeeper trying to wake him for an appointment with a masseuse. Prescription medications were found in the room, including sleeping pills.

Ledger was found at about 3pm, and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel about 3:30pm. There was no note found or any indication of foul play. More »
